British Music Experience

This is the cardboard guitar I made. It was connected to an amp and we could hear the notes.

There are loads of instruments to play. There are video tutorials and headphones so only you can hear what you are playing.

British Museum CU? NOT in passport

This was a great day out with so much to go... I found these photos only this year and realised that I had not added this to my CU passport as I had forgotten, but I have added it to my blog.

I had lots of fun painting, designing and creating my own brick to be displayed in an artists wall in the British Museum. You can see how many other children liked this activity to by the size of the wall. The photo only shows about 1/3 of the whole wall.

Natural History Museum - Rocks and Minerals

There are lots of different worksheets you can do at the Natural History museum. They all cost £1 each. This one is about the rocks and minerals they have there. It was very interesting.

The Bank Museum and Monument

The Bank of England Museum has a lot of different worksheets for CU children to do. At the end of the day they gave me a badge and postcard for completing them.

I learnt that a gold bar weighs 13kg and is worth about £347,372. The Bank does not own very much of the gold in the vault. Today's bank notes have features such as raised print and metallic thread to stop people from copying them.

I also went to the top of the Monument as it is near the Bank of England. There are 311 steps to get to the top. The monument is there to remember where the Great Fire of London started.
