The Bank Museum and Monument

The Bank of England Museum has a lot of different worksheets for CU children to do. At the end of the day they gave me a badge and postcard for completing them.

I learnt that a gold bar weighs 13kg and is worth about £347,372. The Bank does not own very much of the gold in the vault. Today's bank notes have features such as raised print and metallic thread to stop people from copying them.

I also went to the top of the Monument as it is near the Bank of England. There are 311 steps to get to the top. The monument is there to remember where the Great Fire of London started.

Bowie at The V&A - Workshop NOT CU

This was a really good workshop. The idea was to make a record cover.I loved this day. I had to design my make up , have a photo shoot, design my cover, choose the best photo and then put it all together. The V&A were not signed up to the CU at this time... but it was a perfect workshop to be part of it.

Planting seeds in Spring

Nature detectives planting seeds

Today I planted peas, pansies and nicotiana. The pea seeds are bigger. They also grow faster.

Next I covered them with soil and watered them.

This lid keeps the seeds warm.

2nd April I planted dwarf beans, three different sunflowers and poppies.

These are the peas, pansies and nicotiana after 2 weeks

These are the roots of the peas. I have potted them up into a bigger pot today.
