The Bank Museum and Monument

The Bank of England Museum has a lot of different worksheets for CU children to do. At the end of the day they gave me a badge and postcard for completing them.

I learnt that a gold bar weighs 13kg and is worth about £347,372. The Bank does not own very much of the gold in the vault. Today's bank notes have features such as raised print and metallic thread to stop people from copying them.

I also went to the top of the Monument as it is near the Bank of England. There are 311 steps to get to the top. The monument is there to remember where the Great Fire of London started.
