Winter Ice Art

This is a task from the - Winter Ice Art
This is my winter art

I found holly, herbs, rose buds and leaves  in the garden.

I used Muller yoghurt pots and containers to make different shapes. I really like these.

We put them in them garden to see how long they lasted. They lasted two days because it started getting warmer.

Steel Pans Brownies - hobbies badge

I started steel pans because I got a letter about it at school. I like it because it is fun and easy to learn. The pans make a rally nice sound. The classes are on Saturday mornings. Lots of people want to know how to play the steel pans so there are three classes.

These are the double tenor pans that I play.

This is one of the tenors

These three are the cello pans

These four are the bass tenors

Club rules
·         Do not drag or drop the pans
·         Help set up and put pans away

I hope we get good enough to play a song to the school one day. That would be fun.

This is a task from the Nature Detectives - Winter Wonderland Spotter sheet

This spotter sheet was done  in December and January.

This fresh snow was in Finland.

We found these icicles outside Santa’s workshop. They were very long.

These trees look like they have been sprayed with snow

This husky sledge is on a frozen lake.

Look how deep this footprint is!

My Blog

Hello

My name is Kirsty and I am doing  this blog to tell you all the wonderful things that I do with Children's university. I belong to the Croydon Children's University which does some really interesting things for us. There are so many different activities that you can do and on my blog you will see some of them. I am also an ambassador who can tell you even more about what I do. My aim for when I have finished the blog is to get more people to sign up and for more people to know about the Children's University. Every year  new faces turn up to the graduations. I started when I was seven so it is never to late to join up. I haven't written about everything I do but I have added photos and some information about some of the activities and some of the places I have visited.
